The NLUJAA Library holds printed and electronic collection of resources related to legal and allied fields.
NLUJAA text book collection contains more than 15 thousand books on law, social science and allied subjects including recommended readings as per the syllabus. The text books are available for loan and for reference reading.
The reference sources comprise of general dictionary and encyclopaedia, legal dictionary and encyclopaedia, handbook, manual, directories, bare acts, reports, cases, journals, periodicals, NE collection, multimedia, question papers, etc. The Bare Acts are arranged alphabetically in the shelves. The reference books are marked with identical green coloured spine labels. These books are only meant for reference purposes and not available for loan i.e. patrons cannot take the books out from the library premises.
NLUJAA library has developed a collection of over 200 gifted and donated books and materials. The collection covers variety of reports, memorials, books, course materials, leaflets, journals and many more.
The library has a notably rich collection of report and back volumes like Indian Appeal, Moore’s Indian appeal, Law Commission Report, All India Reporter (AIR), Banking Cases, Consumer Protection Judgement (CPJ), Consumer Protection Trade Practices Journal (CTJ), Crimes, Consumer Protection Reporter (CPR), Service Law Reporter (SLR), Supreme Court Cases (SCC), Criminal Law Journal, Halsbury’s Law of India, Constitutional Assembly Debates, etc.
The subscribed journal on law and social sciences contributes a lot to NLUJAA scholars and faculty members in their research. The journal subscription primarily contains All India Reporter, Banking Cases, Consumer Protection Judgment, Consumer Protection Reporter, Criminal Law, Indian Bar Review, Indian Human Rights Law Review, Indian Law Institute(ILI), Indian-Socio Legal Journal, Lawz, North East Judgment, University News, Crimes, All England Law Report, Supreme Court Cases, Service Law Reporter, Current Tax Reporter, Indian Journal of Gender Studies, South Asia Research, Margin: The Journal of Applied Economic Research, Indian Quarterly, International Review of the Red Cross, Judgment Today etc.
The library also has a collection of many national magazines like the India Today, Outlook, Frontline, Times, Economic and Political Weekly, Sportstar, Chronicle, Competition Success Review, etc.
The library subscribes to various newspapers including The Economic Times, The Hindu, The Indian Express, The Times of India, Employment News, The Assam Tribune and two vernacular newspapers.

The NLUJAA Library has been subscribing full text online databases of law and social sciences as well. The database includes Canadian Business & Current Affairs (CBCA) , DELNET Online , HeinOnline , JSTOR , Lexis Nexis , Manupatra , SCC Online , South Asia Archive , West Law . NLUJAA Library has two electronic Book packages namely Cambridge E-Book Online , Elgar Online .
To encourage and support recreational reading, 3 units of Kindle Paper white e-Readers are pre-loaded with thousands of free e-books. The e-book readers can be checked out overnight to NLUJAA faculty and LLM students. E books can be selected for reading in NLUJAA collection account.
