In commemoration of Padmashri Dr. S. R. Ranganathan, recognized as the Father of Library Science in India, the Knowledge Resource Centre, NLUJAA, celebrated National Librarians’ Day on August 12, 2025.
The event, held at 2:00 PM, served as a tribute to Dr. Ranganathan’s significant contributions to library, documentation, and information science. Dr. Kankana Baishya, Assistant Librarian highlighted his immense contribution. Prof. KVS Sarma, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Mr. Gunajit RoyChoudhury (ACS), Registrar along with Faculty, students, and administrative staff all gathered to pay homage to his legacy.
